I found this shot of this colourful 12mm tachinid with an unusual (to me..) abdominal shape, photographed on Sea Holly flowers, near Arbatax, Sardinia on 4.6.18 - It was in my "reject" image files as the focus is a bit soft on head, but the image may be good enough for species ID, and may be of interest.

I think it may be a female C. rufifrons, but would appreciate confirmation or correction.

This fly was found at the same location and time as my 9.2.19 post of what i think is an endemic tabanid Pangonius striatus
