Hi,
On 20 July 2014 I saw this Tephritid couple on Centaurea jacea in southwestern Brandenburg. It puzzles me because of the yellowish-hyaline wings combined with black spots on the tergites. The thorax pattern fits Terellia colon, however, and this species seems to be quite variable. So am I on the right track? Thanks in advance for any explanations!

According to Valery Korneyev, the flies belong to the Terellia virens group, and as to distribution and host plant probably to T. virens itself. Warm thanks to Val!

It is certainly not T. colon, and it is certainly T. virens.

Thanks again!
