Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ceratopogonidae ID -> Atrichopogon (Meloehelea)

Hi,
these guys were constantly molesting a Meloe-beetle in early May in the Danube wetlands near Vienna. Maybe Atrichopogon with species ID possible?

Based on behavior, probably Atrichopogon (Meloehelea).

I find the legs quite pale, so I wonder if the species can be addressed as A. oedemerarum, whereas A. meloesugans is described as having dark legs: http://pte.au.poz...i_i_in.pdf
