Hi everyone,
during spring this year I've found this Tachinidae fly in one of the boxes which I use for rearing insects (mainly Lepidoptera). I often keep several species in one box due to lack of space to keep them all in individual boxes. Therefore I can't say with certainty what was the host of this fly. However, it was suggested that this may be Pales pavida, which lives in a wide range of Lepidoptera species. Is it possible to tell if this indeed is Pales pavida from these photos?
It concerns this observation
