Hi,
On 1st August 2014 there were many Tephritids active on a meadow with abundant Centaurea jacea in southern Brandenburg. Among Acanthiophilus helianthi, Chaetostomella cylindrica agg. and Urophora quadrifasciata another Urophora species was present that was unknown to me. My guess is U. affinis, as I read that the subbasal crossband of the wings is only weakly developed. However, I would like to ask if I am right, as there are many different looking pictures labeled with "U. affinis" in the internet.
Thanks in advance, Sundew
