Nice photo's!
It is indeed a Chyromya on account of the setulose scutellum. The thickened femora and the darkened tip of the abdomen indicate it is a male. The entire yellow front tarsae and yellow antennae indicate C. flava or C. femorellum. Whether those are indeed separate species is somewhat unclear. For separating those species you'd need to examine the terminalia. So that can only happen if you collected the specimen.
For literature you'd need Gibbs 2007 & Anderson 1987 (if I remeber that correctly). If you'd want those publications send me a pm...
