This was a large fly. I am looking for the id.

It is member of the family Nemestrinidae.

Thank you very much Lukasz! That is a family that I am not familiar with.
I have been searching on the internet and it seems that Neorhynchocephalus tauscheri is a good option. Are there any other contestants?

I think Fallenia is also an option but I would not decide without specimen or clear picture of the wing.
