Yes, T. elegans is the best match. As far as it is known up to this date, this would be the only possibility in Corsica. Other Thyridanthrax species recorded there, simply don't match what I can see in the photo.

And thanks for your kind words, Sundew, but you are overrating me ;) I'd wish David Gibbs was still around here... He is a real expert in Bee-flies B) I am only an amateur, although I do the best I can...
