Hi,

sorry for this bad picture: someone walked on it ... and so, I found it dead in a veranda from western France (Loire-Atlantique) in early may 2018.

size : 15,8 mm.

Looking at the red tibia I and red tip of femur I, could it be Neomochterus geniculatus ? A female.

You mean this is a species which flies in summer ?

It makes sense : actually I went twice in this house, in spring (early may) and in summer (july).

during these vacations, I have collected few dead insects in this veranda ; so I think I went wrong : it should be in july for this one.
