Hi Theo & Nacho Cabellos,
Actually the species appears to be common in the Sierra Morena on Foxes and Iberian Lynx (
https://www.resea...s_in_Spain
)
Ascan be seen in the following examples the habitus and pale scutellum resemble the one in the photo
(
https://parasites...3305-4-143
) & (
https://www.biodi...04557.html
) & (
https://diptera.i...d_id=66370
)
Also there's a photo from an Isrealian specimen here on diptera.info (
https://diptera.i...d_id=63458
). As the host is a cat and the scutellum is also pale that would also make this H.longipennis. Or is that an too easy conclusion?
Kind regards,
Ectemnius
