Hi,

I would like to identify this small fly photographed on the edge of a pond, 20km West of Paris.
Length about 5-6mm.

Any idea of its identity?

Thanks,
FRV

Dolichopodidae subfamily Sympycninae.

Thank you very much. Maybe Campsicnemus?

Possibly. I thought so based on the shape of the face, but I don't see any leg modifications.

You are right, I cannot see the leg modifications either. So let's maintain Sympycninae.
