Hi,

as a new member I like to say hello!
I hope, you can give me a hint which diptera is shown on my picture.
I made the picture at 18th of september in germany, near darmstadt on ivory.

Its a Syrphidae - genus Callicera ♀
Please move the picture to the Syrphidae forum.

Hi frankant,

A female Callicera spinolae, the dream of every Syrphidologist…

Red femora and the dull bands at the posterior margin of tergite two and three indicate this species...
