Good morning,

I'm requesting help to identify this small fly (~2mm).
The picture was taken on August 4th, at Olhão, Faro District, on the South of Portugal, attracted by a light trap. Sorry for the low quality.
The habitat is consolidated secondary dunes, close to both a fresh water lagoon, and a large extension of brackish water.
I would appreciate any help, that could help me reach to, at least, the family level.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.
Kind regards,

Fernando

Female Sciaridae. Even with good quality photos, it's difficult to tell what genus they are.

Thanks Tony. That's already something to start from. At least I have the family. |t
