~20mm Bee fly(?), basking in morning sun. This behaves like a large black Xylocopa carpenter bee. It buzzed and danced in front of my face. It had the nerve to chase a Xylocopa (almost twice its size) from its territory. Can be easily mistaken for the Large carpenter bee when in flight.
It is highly active. Though I had seen this a number of times, could never record it.
