I think this is Tabanidae, but I am not sure. Is it possibel to id this fly?

Appears to be
Therioplectes carabaghensis according to Theo's 2006 revision.

I don't remember seeing or feeling any Tabanus. I don't think I photographed any. Next time....

This is the Therioplectes I photographed the next day. I think this is also carabaghensis. Correct/

Yes. Probably the only species around. For other species, visit the Lenkoran forest. at the Azeri and Caspian Sea border.
