Hello,
Northern Germany, Hamburg-Rissen, Wittenbergener Ufer, walking path along the river Elbe, at a flower of Solidago sp., 15th of August 2018, (Photos: kuv). Is my idea ok? Please help to get the ID.

Hello,
what lead you to
minor (and not the now abundant
G. maculata)? (I'm really interested, because I don't know how to distinguish them and am not sure, whether I can exclude
G. minor here in northwest Germany.)

Hi Jürgen,
today I read the thread https://diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=87790&pid=365076#post_365076. There is fixed that Nikita said G. minor is a synonym of G.maculata. So "my" fly should be G. maculata?

Well, the discussion continues (see
https://diptera.i...ost_365076).
Your last picture shows clearly that there is no ad seta on the mid tibia, so
G. maculata would be the better choice.
