Hello,
I observed this Diptera the 7th of August on
Heracleum sphondylium in Guînes in the north of France. I think of a Sarcophagidae but is it possible to identify it ? I think of a
Sarcophaga maybe
S. carnaria, what do you think ?
Cordially Maxime

Sarcophaga sp.
For most Sarcophagidae you cannot get to the species from photos (
Nyctia halterata is the most obvious exception).
There are several other common species other than
carnaria that this one could be (
variegata,
subvicina,...)
