Hello Tony, no wonder i couldn't match the terminalia to anything. I really know nothing about this family. I have no material about this family. I didn't know it was Culicoidea. Very interesting. They are very pretty.

I have many photos of Chironomidae and apparently Chaoboridae that i thought was hopeless for id until i joined diptera.info. I remember photographing a brown one that looks like it could be Chaoborus (Chaoborus) crystallinus. Honestly, i cannot remember seeing the name Chaoboridae. I've never investigated this family before.
