This female Loewia from Orkney last week keys out to phaeoptera, but I see there is also erecta to consider. I have no experience of any Loewia, so can I get confirmation that I am in the right area and any thoughts on the ID? The scutellar dorsal bristles are prone and the eye hairs are fairly sparse and about the width of the aristal base.
