Hello!

Near honey bee sized Cheilosias in autumn are mostly C. canicularis here (Ostwestfalen/Germany). And with the many males I've seen in the last two weeks I have no problem. But this female from today, hovering on Centaurea blossoms looked somewhat "different".
When flying, its abdomen looked strikingly orange and banded. Is it nevertheless C. canicularis? Thanks!
