Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscid help

I'm having trouble getting this 6mm Muscid through the keys. From a damp valley within chalk grassland in East Yorkshire, UK. I'd be grateful for a rough idea of where I should be. Thanks

i think that i see a Phaonia bristle. check the leg chaetotaxy.

Yes, you are right...it's Phaonia trimaculata.
