Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fly, family unknown -> Limnophora cf. tigrina & Notiphila sp.

I've encountered those small flies in large quantity today as I walked nearby river. They seem to gather near water, so perhaps aquatic larvae? I don't know.

My goodness, I've just noticed that those are apparently two different flies. I photographed them at the same leaf and never inspected closely until just now... I'm more interested in the second one, but if you can id the first one as well I'll thankful.

The first is a Limnophora female, possibly L. tigrina (Muscidae). The second is a Notiphila species (Ephydridae).
