Good evening friends

Is it possible just from the genitalia to tell which species this Cerodontha (Poemyza) belongs to? Caught in a malaise trap on my favourite site near Copenhagen some time during the first week of May.

A dark-legged species with frons and orbits dark apart from some yellow streaks.

Thanks in advance - and more will follow :)

It seems to be Cerodontha (Poemyza) lapplandica (Rydén, 1956), treated by Nowakowski [Annales zoologici (Warszawa) 31(1): 1-328; genitalia see fig. 143 on p. 279] as C. (P.) tatrica Nowakowski, 1967. But a trustable identification must be based on more features in that revision and on further literature. E.g. Papp & Cerný (2016) [Agromyzidae (Diptera) of Hungary, Vol. 2; Pars Ltd., Nagykovácsi, Hungary] use the taxon C. (P.) pygmella (Hendel, 1931) based on a publication of Zlobin (2001) [International Journal of dipterological Research 12(2):107-112].

Yes, it certainly looks like lapplandica. The site is on the island Amager on reclaimed land, at see level or just below, established in the 1940s. Very like the coastal areas of Schleswig-Holstein or the Netherlands.
I take it that not too much emphasis should be put on the far northern distribution implied in the name lapplandica … I got 2 males and 1 female and perhaps the species will turn up later on as I work my way through the material collected during May.
Your help is much appreciated!
