Hello,
I found thix diptera on a rock near a lake. It was on the atlantic coast at 15 kms from Casablanca.
After discussion we are not agree with Anthrax.
Could you help me to be sure of the determination.
Thanks,

Hello JPhilippe, I simply responded to your statement that you cannot agree with Anthrax. The species is Anthracini. The species is clearly not Bombyliinae, Exoprosopini or Villini. I do not know why you think that it isn't Anthrax. Furthermore, i think that the closest match is
Anthrax aethiops. I'm simply asking you why you would not agree. I think that it is
Anthrax aethiops. Obviously, without a specimen we will have to say
Anthrax cf aethiops. However, i cannot imagine a better match.

Sorry,
I didn't understood "why not Anthrax aethiops?".
Thank you for your answer. So
Anthrax aethiops is the better match!
