Thread subject: Diptera.info :: all yellow Chloropidae --> Chyromya oppidana (Chyromyidae)

Hi,

with the black ocellar triange, is this a member of Chloropidae?
Size is about 3mm. Vienna, mid of May

I think Chyromyidae -- they have colorful eyes.

Yes, this should be a Chyromyidae.
I added one more pic from the scutellum. Are the smaller bristles indicating genus Chyromya?

Hi Carnifex,

Yes it is a Chyromya. Species C. femorellum/flava. the true identity of these two species is still unclear...

Oops, too quick. I only looked at the tarsae. But third antennal segment is clearly darkened. So this is Chyromya oppidana!
