Hello,
again on hawthorn flowers I could observe Bibionidae (as I presume).
There was one very dark species (picture 1 and 2) and another with a line pattern (photo 3). Are these different species?

Hello Thomas,
date and location? If these days in central Europe, I would suggest
Empis ciliata and
Empis tessellata.

That’s right (twice). Ciliata is often taken for a Bibio.
