I have an expert opinion which matches my opinion: this fly could be Pollenia vera.

I place it in the amentaria group for the following reasons: yellow wing base, black basicosta, 5 marginal scutellar setae, narrow frons, guessing that the carina is conspicuous based upon experience, one ad on t2 and overall dark-to-black appearance. Of all of the amentaria group, it seems to be the best fit for vera. However, we cannot be 100% certain without genitalia. I have been surprised by Pollenia many times, thus, you must retain a cf with this diagnosis.
