Can you tell me if this fly is a Macronychia ? It was waiting near parasitifc wasp hole.

You mean a Sphecid ?

It was a hole in the sandy ground near a lake. There was a lot of wasp around : Prionyx kirbii, Ammophila sabulosa, Pompilidae, Philanthus triangulum (Crabonidae), bembecinus tridens(Crabonidae) and i have not seen what wasp was in the hole.

Thanks. Macronychia is mostly (only?) in wood.

This looks like a Metopia, but difficult to be sure.
