Yves Braet received this material from Gabon (II.2018, Malaise trap) and is very curious what it might be.

What a peculiar critter! Eudasys ophrys Whittington, 2003 (Platystomatidae, Plastotephritinae). Apparently not recorded from Gabon (known from Nigeria (type loc.), Cameroun and Zaire). Compare with some images from the original description (Studia Dipterologica Suppl. 12, p. 120 ff.)
