I know too little about Afrotropical Asilidae, so I can't give you the species name. It seems that they belong to the subfamily Brachyrhopalinae but I can't see enough, so it is just a guess. This kind of behaviour is also known from the genera Dioctria (Dioctriinae) and Holopogon (Brachyrhopalinae).
