Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, earthwall (overgrown with small bushes like hazel, maple, roses, sloes, brambles) under big oakes, at a leaf of hazel, 28th of July 2016, Photos: kuv. Is my Idea ok?. Please help to get the ID.

hello kuv, this fly is not Polietes in my opinion. The photos are not of the best quality, so it is difficult to judge the fly accurately. I think maybe it is Muscina but it is difficult to tell. Maybe someone can recognize it for you.

you should try using flash for cloudy days to help the camera focus on more features.

Next time (spring is coming) I'll try to photograph my very best - also with a flash ...
