At first glance, I took this for Eriothrix rufomaculatus but now I think I was mistaken. :-( Can it be other species? Help, please!

Taken at about 1500 m of altitude, in Teruel Province (eastern Spain), in August of 2016. On Eryngium campestre, in moorland.

Thanks in advance!

!! Well spotted !! It is a familiar pitfall for rufomac.

Zeuxia zernyi

That was too fast. Yes, it has a nice costal spine, but the marginal setae on syntergite 1&2 denies zernyi. And it does not fit any other Zeuxia either.

So, after reconsidering, and having a better look at the head profile:it is Hyperaea.
You have only one: femoralis.

Sorry for the mistake

No worries, Theo, besides I'm very happy with the final ID, it's a lifer for me. :-)

Thanks a lot for you effort and sorry for the trouble the little beast caused. ;)
