Thread subject: Diptera.info :: parasitic larva on Theridion spider

I don't think that the larva is of a diptera species, so I post the query here. Anyone know what this larva could be? I only have similar photos of it attached to the spider.

Thank You very much.

Larva of Ichneumonidae, Pimplinae, Polysphinctini I think (like Zatypota, Acrodactyla or Polysphincta ?)

Thanks for posting tlegrand. I am happy to have a starting point. Spiders are what led me to diptera in the first place. I always wanted to know what was in the web and sometimes diptera land beside me or on my hand while I photograph spiders. Anyway, I have been wanting to post this since last year but I keep forgetting to do so.

Thanks :)

Thank you very much for the link. larva is not my specialty. I susepected it to be possibly Ichneumon but I know little about them. I see them around the area where I found this spider. I'll have to see if I can find the species responsible.

Thank you and I hope that you have a pleasant day :)
