I had this male Bibio 13:th of may. Southern Sweden.

Not sure if it's B. marci or clavipes, or perhaps something else?

Any suggestions?

Rather a male Dilophus.

Thanks Paul
Dilophus seems much better :-)

The most reported species in Sweden seems to be Dilophus febrilis (and also some D. femoratus).
I can't find any good pics of how to seperate males of these species, but maybe some one here knows that!

You can separate the males only by genitalia and very subtle spine features on front tibia.
