Thank You Sir Stephane, you have saved me alot of time because I didn't even think about this family. This species will be my first recorded Drosophilidae species, so I lack the experience to even recognize this group. Now I will have to find some keys and genitalia when I have the time to do so. I forgot to mention that it was found in my kitchen. :)
