Hello,

at the same location (meadow near forest, northwest Germany) as the Ectophasia from my previous thread I found this 8 mm fly. I am unsure about the genus and even if male or female. Could it be Phasia aurulans?

Phasia aurigera. It is weird though, it is somewhere in between a male and a female.

and it is early. too. Normally the second generation occurs here not before the end of August, mostly in September, flying until end of October.
