Hello,

last year I found my first (and only) Ectophasia, yet, a female. Three days ago I found the male below at the same location, visiting marguerite flowers on a meadow near forest (northwest Germany). E. crassipes again?

Here are some larger (1200x1200) pictures: http://insektenfo...adID=87444

I'm trying to retrain myself with these. Ectophasia can be tricky.

However, I do agree that this matches crassipennis well.
I live in Berlin and I find them in August more often than July.

You should wait for Theo.

Thank you! The only one I had found, yet, was from September.

I don't know exactly where you live but September is interesting. Good find Juergen.
You seem to find alot of interesting insects. I've seen your forum before. You find alot of interesting spider friends as well.

I'm happy that you found an Ectophasia :)

A melanistic one, quite likely crassipennis.
