Can Thricops semicinereus have reddish frons with crossing frontal bristles?

Reddish frons, no, crossed inter-frontal setae, yes.
Reddish frons + crossed if = Anthomyiidae.

Really a muscid ; the dark coloured tegument seems to be faded, the posterior legs and scutum appear to be reddish/brown, even the eyes are yellow like the abdomen. Is the fly kept in alcohol or something else ? The colours are not natural, at least they're not those of a living fly.
If you find the setulae on the posterior-inner margin of hind coxae, it should be
T. semicinereus.

Yes, it's been stored in alcohol for almost 15 years. :-) Strange however that none of the other muscid species from the sample had got this reddish frons. And, yes, it is a T. semicinereus.
