Am I right thinking in Cylindromyia sp. ?

Loire-Atlantique, western France, july 13th 2017.

around 5-6 mm (?)

While you wait for Zeegers, I think that it looks alot like Cylindromyia bicolor.

I like this photo. Very nice photography. Do you use flash?

Interesting. If I use those exact settings on manual mode, my photo will be mostly blurry. Do you use a tripod? maybe my focal points are not correct or the image stabilization is effecting the quality.

Still, you are a Super Photographer. Nice work :)

No tripod or single pod ... no stabilisation on this old 100 mm (not the new generation) ...

May be the focal point indeed ... because with this speed (1/500 s) normally there is no blur due to the subject unless due to the photographer's movements may be ?
