Photos from my garden 9th July 2017 63 degrees N 32m asl - on flowers in a farmland. Size about 5mm. I tried to key it with Rozkošný et al 1997, but got stuck early when not having any shots showing middle coxa properly. I have enclosed some details which can narrow down the possibilities. E.g. the calypteres and the halteres are yellowish orange, and the arista is slighty plumeous. I have to rely on an experienced
Fannia dipterist.
Any help appreciated as always!
Cheers Jørn

The wing venation iss wrong for Fanniidae.
This is a Muscidae, a male
Thricops longipes I think.
