Hi,
I found large clusters of flies resembling tiny Bibionidae. I got stuck.
They were sitting on Rumex leaves. May 31st, Schenefeld northern germany.
Best Regards,
Jan

Hi,
I did not collect any then unfortunately, but I kept looking for more of these flies. Finally I found some on a Leucanthemum flower. This time I collected a few, crushing some more :(
Since I found them only two weeks later and 100m from the last guys they might be the same species. The cluster on the flower was much smaller than the one on the Rumex, yet quite a considerable number of small flies.
