I found this fly yesterday near Ásotthalom, about 25km W. of Szeged, S. Hungary Based on this thread:

it sould be Allophorocera rutila. Is that right?

We need to exclude Zeniilia. In the last picture, the left eye looks hairy. Is that right ?

No, eyes are bare. Some pollen grains, I'd think

Meanwhile, I noticed that this one has no orbital bristles! Does it help in any way?

You mean, proclinate orbital setae ? It is a male, so there are none....
