Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Very small Empis with broad wings (27.04.17)

Hello,

when I saw this tiny (3-3.5 mm) fly on a dandelion flower in our courtyard (northwest Germany) this afternoon, I thought it was a small Calyptrate of some sort. Only when looking at it on the PC, I saw it was an Empis. Is a closer ID possible?
