the species you suggested is not in Slovak checklist, and I am not sure about its host plant (StN suggestHhyacynthus and Muscari - maybe in the gardens in the village?).

Your suggestion matches some pictures on the web.

What do you thing abut Merodon rufus? Thats the species I keyed out using M.P.Veen key, howvever, it is incomplete.
