The only Pegomya from Mexico on Chenopodiaceae in Griffiths' revision belong to the hyoscami section (see http://bugguide.n...ew/1210179). The dorsimaculata species group is also in Mexico but there are no published host records.

Thank you very much John. I will examine the sternites. Could you provide me the reference of that publication?

The scan is from the series Flies of the Nearctic Region edited by Graham Griffiths. The scan is from volume 8, part 2, number 1.

Volume 8, part 2 is Anthomyiidae. The numbers and included genera are:
1-3 Pegomya
3 Emmesomyia
3 Parapegomyia
4-5 Eutrichota
5 Pegoplata
5 Myopina
5-6 Calythea
6 Paradelia
6-7 Alliopsis
7-10 Delia
11 Leucophora
11 Eustalomyia
11 Heterostylodes
11 Boreophorbia
11 Oxyphorbia
11-12 Phorbia
12 Hydrophoria
12-13 Zaphne
13 Paregle
13 Acridomyia
13 Adia
13 Hylemya
13 Anthomyia
14 Egle

Some genera are not included because Griffiths died before completing the project.

I asked an expert who thinks the most likely species based on host and location is Pegomya exilis hernandezi.
