Dasybasis or similar, I have no idea what there is around on Jamaica.
You can actually see the bare basicosta in the third pic, very nice.

There are no known
Dasybasis in the Caribbean.
This is
Stenotabanus. Subgenus
Aegialomyia are all coastal, with the larvae living in wet areas of the dunes. This is most likely
Stenotabanus (
Aegialomyia)
jamaicensis or
parallelus
