Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, at a wall of a house (near a light for nights); Outsidephotos: kuv, 1st of October 2014. To me it - especially the wings - look like Tipula confusa. Is my idea ok? Please help to get the ID.

This is subgenus Savtshenkia for sure. With the key by Peeters & Oosterbroek (
http://ccw.natura..._2016a.pdf) I came close to
T. confusa. However, I cannot see the typical comma-shaped white spot in the second basal cell that ist depicted in Figs. F133 and F134. The alternative choice is based on the shape of the genitals. I suppose this is a female, but length and shape of the ovipositor are not recognizable. So the species
T. benesignata,
T. limbata,
T. staegeri,
T. alpium, and
T. signata remain as possible candidates. Here I am at my wits' end - sorry!

Woow Sundew, thank you very much for your time and effort.
As I have no better shot to see the white spot at the basalcell I have to name it Tipula sp.
Thanks too for the tip to the key by Peeters & Oosterbroek. There are so many details to identify Tipula flies: Great!
