Is it possible to identify the species? Is there any key to the species of the genus?

Dear Rui,
there is a quite recent (2015) revision of the genus Pelecocera available in the net. Unfortunately this is not working on your specimen which is belonging to Chamaesyrphus.

Thank you Piet! In the checklist of Syrphidae from Portugal Chamaesyrphus lusitanicus is placed in Pelecocera so I was not sure if I should call this fly Pelecocera or Chamaesyrphus. And is there a key for Chamaesyrphus?

As far as I know,
Chamaesyrphus is placed in
Pelecocera in recent literature and it is considered a subgenus within
Pelecocera. You can download the paper where this is shown here:

But yes, as Piet says, the recent work by Ximo only covers the 'real'

According to Andre van Eck it should be Chamaesyrphus pruinosomaculatus....
