Thankful for any ID help with this small fly from south Sweden today. Body length around 3 mm, short-haired eyes and long-haired arista.

Regards

Krister

Reminds me of a fly I had in July which turned out to be from the Family Carnidae, Genus, Meoneura

Head and wings look similar [ish]

Might be barking up the wrong tree, but it won't be the first or last time that's happened ;)

Thanks Roger! Interesting, I have never heard about about that group before. We will see if there are other opinions.

I'd check out Scaptomyza (Drosophilidae) first. I think that the thorax is "wet" or "greasy", so the grey dusting is not apparent.
