is it possible to ID this Tachinidae, about 10mm,
found in north-west Germany, Herten, 28. 6. 2016

Well, that is asking a lot.
How northern is 'north' ?

My gut feeling is Labigastera forcipata.

Hello Theo,

thanks for your help,

north-west means it is in northrhein-westfalia, Herten is near to Gelsenkirchen or Dortmund,
perhaps some football-fans could know this locality:)

so it is Labigastera forcipata?

Sorry, football, what is that ?

Anyway, it is northern from a German perspective but southern from a Dutch perspective.
Hence, Labigastera forcipata is possible and it is my best guess, but as long as I cannot see the reclinate orbitals, it is not certain.

Actuall cf. Labigastera forcipata.

If it is Labigastera, it most certainly is forcipata.
